Water cycle

AIM: TO LEARN ABOUT WATER ON EARTH.

Definition:

Scientific words:

• Evaporation. When water is heated by radiant energy it turns into water vapor.
• Transpiration. Evaporation from plants.
• Condensation. When water vapor cools, molecules join together and form clouds.
• Precipitation. When clouds get heavy the waters falls as rain, sleet, hail, or snow.
• Acidification: the action or process of making or becoming acidic.

• Soda water - 50ml

Steps:

1. Gather materials.
2.   Cut stylophone,bread and banana into pieces.
3.    Then put 4 test tubes into the test tube stand.
4.   Put them in test tube.
5. Add water to the bread.
6. Put the lid of the test tube. 
7.   Wait for the change.

Science Documentary 2040

Hello everyone! today I´m gonna be telling you about the documentary, So the film was about climate change and the film tells how to change the world and tells many differents parts and also tells how to change future.

The film tells about the rubbish in the Ocean, It also tells about growing plants It tells many things about climate change.

I was surprised by the electric car that they show in the film, I was excited about the electric car can drive with no passenger, I was worried about people would leave their rubbish around.

Bok choy

Hello Everyone! I am going to tell you about Bok choy, Bok choy is a Chinese cabbage But there is also a story about Bok choy. So the problem of the story is the people were fighting over the Bok choy and the people lived and a small house that built with small stones.

here is the Key Point of the story.

• Bok Choy is Chinese cabbage, Broccoli and cauliflower.
• Jacob and William are fighting over the bok choy.
• Jacob fell in the river and slept through the rocks.
• The people lived in a small house built with Small stone House.
• Jacob helped his mother to stack the firewood.

If you know the whole story. So the story is about the people who fight for the Bok choy and some people being mean because they lived in different places and the people wanted to be them.

Greenhouse Effect

AIM: TO LOOK AT CLIMATE CHANGE AND THE GREENHOUSE EFFECT.

THE GREENHOUSE GASES EXPLAINED.

The Greenhouse Effect experiment

Materials

1. 1 plastic bottle
2. 1 Teaspoon Baking Soda and Citric Acid
3. 1 heat lamp
4. 1 Thermometer
5. 100 ml water
6. 1 rubber bung

Procedure

1. Collect 2 bottles, 2 lamps and 2 thermometres from the teacher
2. set up bottles and lamp beside a powerpoint on a flat surface. 
3. Pour 100ml water and baking soda mixture into one of the bottles add just water to the second bottle
4. Start to record your findings taken from both thermometers. These must be every 5 minutes

Findings:The Greenhouse Effect Data

Conclusion: The temperature of the CO2 bottle rose higher than the normal bottle. This showed that CO2 heats up our atmosphere very fast.

This week in our P.E Hurumanu we have been focusing on Cross Court game

• What game did we play?: We played Bench ball, Floor hockey and Football
• Where: We played it at the gym.
• Why or what was the focus?: the focus was to participate in the team and encourage our team

Our activity was Bench ball, Floor hockey and Football For this activity I rated my self as a level 3 bacause I participated and I cheered my team.

To achieve at level I must work hard and try my best to achieve the level that I am working on we have to show that we can consistently work on a team by trying our best.

During the game of Bench ball I showed that I am working at level 3 by focusing in the game and trying my best. These examples show that I have meet the standard for level 3 because I tried my did my best and help others. 

While playing the Cross-court games, something that I found challenging was people bunching when someone has the ball. The reason I found this challenging was because it was hard to past it to our team when people are bunching up and I also find challenging was people start complaining.

However, I managed to overcome this challenge by trying our best and particpating and communicating. 

Next week I am aiming to work at level 4 To make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on communicating with our teamates and focusing to our work.

To achieve at level 3 we have to show that we can consistently work hard to achieve our level and try harder.

During the first game of Floor Hockey, I showed that I am working at level 3 by participating and cheering for my team and These examples show that I have meet the standard for my level by participating, trying hard and cheering for my team.

Our second activity was 6 corner Soccer. For this activity, I rated my self as a 3 as again I tried my best and cheered for my team and try.

To achieve level 3 we have to show that we can consistently work hard and participate more.

During the first game of 6 corner Soccer, I showed that I am working at level 3 by trying our best and showing that we are working as a team. These examples show that I have meet the standard for level 3 by cheering more and enjoying the game with my team.

Next week I am aiming to work at level 4 To make sure that I am working that level I am going to work on participating and enjoying the game and cheering our team.

Kick the Long Ball

So This Week in our PE Hurumanu We were playing Kick the long ball, Kick the Long ball is a game were the person roll a ball at you and you kick it away from the person who rolled the ball to you, When you kick the ball you have to run at the end of the room without getting hit by the ball, If you get hit you have to go to the back of the line.

Hello everyone! So today I wrote a song It was hard and complicated because you need a lot Inspirations for it. For My song I made a rap I got inspired by many famous people who sing and rap, I tried to make a rap song I don't think it's good but I tried.

A metaphor is a figure of speech in which a word or phrase is applied to an object or action to which it is not literally applicable (example I am titanium)

A simile is a figure of speech involving the comparison of one thing with another (example brave as a lion). 

Connections

Hello everyone I'm gonna be telling you what Making Connections means.

Making connection means Something you're connected with for example like if you read or watch something you feel like something is similar to you or that might of happened to you.

Making connections also means that you're connecting with someone like you're friends or online friends or you're just getting to know them.

What I thought about making connections was connecting with other people and making new friends, well yes that's what it means.

Examples:

1. Text to self: This part makes me think about when I lost My necklace that my Nan gave me.

2. Text to world:The bay in this story is running for school president, He is promising to organise lots of fun ativities for students at lunchtime. This reminds me of how pelitieans try to Indduence people to  vote for them.

3.Text to text: This character reminds me of harry potter. They are both heys whe were erphans and get brought up by an aunt and whele we were mean to them.

for the first time I thought Ki-o-Rahi was fun but well it was fun but I didn't know how to play it.

It was Ok because it was my first time playing it and I didn't really know what I was doing.

Spaghetti

Hey People! So today I'm gonna be talking about our C.I.P Last week. So Our C.I.P last week was Cooking, The Group and I Planned to make Spaghetti with hot dog, We told our teachers that we couldn't go shopping with them to get our Items Because We have Philippines Independence, Yes This happened on Philippines Independence day on Wednesday.

You Might be wondering of what we did on Philippines Independence I can tell you more about Philippines Independence soon. but anyways we came back at the class room at Period 3 and we told our Teacher if they have our stuff. So we started cutting onions and garlic and Cheese while the Pasta was been boiling we waited for awhile.

We been waiting until our Pasta is finish boiling and we were Ready to mix it. and Put the hot dog and the sauce in and were ready to eat.

Whammy bar- A bar on an electric Guitar that quickly changes string tension.
